Forum 2000 Foundation

It was established in 1996 by President V. Havel, together with the Japanese philanthropist Yohei Sasakawa and Elie Wiesel, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate. The Forum 2000 Foundation pursues the legacy of Václav Havel by supporting the values of democracy and respect for human rights, assisting the development of civil society, and encouraging religious, cultural and ethnic tolerance. It provides a platform for global leaders, scientists, thinkers, businessmen to share and think of the critical issues of the present (Forum 2000 Conferences held in Prague and other Czech cities).

The social development in our country confirms that we need to keep coming back to V. Havel’s legacy
